Monthly Palette Calendar is a color calendar that shows the different colors of each month and year. This will inform artists and designers what are the hottest colors of each month, so they can reference it in their projects. This tool does not restrict to these particular professions. In fact, everyone is welcome to use it for inspiration or explore the functionality of this site.
I was inspired by the company Pantone, which is known for their solid chips and specific code text. Therefore, I created a 12 solid chips through HTML, CSS, and Javascript to resemble an online functional calendar. I ranged the years from 2018 to 2022. In each chip, there are three rows underneath the rectangles color block which shows: the month, holiday (exception to August and September), and the holiday date. If you click on the year down arrow, you can change the years and see the colors change. The current colors are chosen by my preference of how I think is best represented as a month.
I researched the hottest color month trends through the Hirshfield website because they are known as a paint company and has amazing color scheme reference. Originally, I intended to use the Pantone website, but they generalizes the color trend by year instead of months. Again, the overall colors are up to my preference, and should not solely rely upon these palettes for color trends accuracy.
